Reflections on first week of school

Well in AZ for most people, week 1 of school is over! I for one am actually glad school started when it did due to the fact that life around the house was getting pretty boring. I was just texting people, viewing tweets, checking my Facebook insensibly and just being a lazy person. So it was nice to know that I could actually do something nice for a change. So far school has been a blast. Geometry has been awesome (again with my dad) and I love Humane Letters. Every other class is good but those two I am looking forward to the most. Geometry has been exciting because of proofs and HL has been good because we have had two great discussions. So if you are in school, how has your school year been thus far? If you aren’t in school, what are you looking forward to this year? Leave a comment below with your answer!

Also, I am usually on AIM all the time so feel free to chat with me. I am natechancellor! Another app review is coming tomorrow!

Latest and Greatest iPod App: F.A.S.T.

I hope that I will be able to do this every week: an app review. This week I will be doing one on F.A.S.T. This is a flight app which I am a sucker for. This app isn’t just any flight app; it is an app for dogfighting. Let’s start out with some facts.

Version Reviewed: 1.5
Price: $0.99
Company: SGN
Appstore Rating: 3.5/5
My rating: 5/5

This app allows you to command a fighter jet where you battle other jets. You use your iPhone/iPod accelerometer to control pitch and roll. It is very easy to use and play. As you go on you play on you earn more jets. For $0.99 you really get your money’s worth. To get more info on the app visit SGN’s website. I hope you will enjoy this app as much as I do.

School in session year 1

Well sadly the summer has come to an end. School starts tomorrow. I sorta like the freedom of summer but I would kinda like to get to see my friends again. I will miss IMing people and texting people with my iPod (I don’t have a phone :-P ). I simply won’t have the time to do these thing and blogging due to the fact I will be working my butt off. I will try to do these things as much as I can. AIM me if you want. I am natechancellor, I am almost always online! So if I don’t blog for a while you will know why!

Awesome guitar riffs?

I am a self proclaimed hard rock fan. AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, you name them I usually will like them. I am on a quest to find some really awesome guitar songs, mainly with good solos and riffs. Anybody out there know any songs?

A few apps you must have

As you know I am a profound iPod touch. I take it everwhere. I listen to music, text people with Textfree, IM people with the AIM app, chat with the Facebook app and so much more. Well today I will explain why you should use these apps.

1. AOL Instant Messenger (AIM): This is a great application because so many people have it. With iPhone 3.0, you notified of IM even when you aren’t in the app! This can be handy because you might be browsing the Web and someone wants to chat. Without this feature you might not even realize they IMed you until they are offline. You can also text people for free. However the person must allow you to receive texts from them before they start receiving them. If you are on the Web then they also offer a web version called AIM Express. This app is free!

2. Textfree: If you are like me and absolutely love texting then you will love this app. We all know that texting can get pretty pricey so this app is for everybody. This app allows you to send text messages to any mobile number in the US for free. No questions asked. This app will run you at $5.99 however if you bought it after June 17, 2009 then that is only a year of texting. You must renew it every year, so I have heard. This app also supports Push Notifications.

3. Facebook: If you aren’t using Facebook then you must be living under a rock. Facebook is currently the most popular social networking site out there and they offer a complementary iPhone app for their users. It allows you to view status updates, view profiles, comment, view comments, chat with people, view your inbox and so much more! This app is free but does not currently support Push Notifications.

I hope you enjoy these apps as much as I do! They are very fun and productive!!
